Thanks for liking my blog . . . One thing I love is the crowd tension created by a wet dog on the beach in summer. He comes out of the water and everyone knows he’s going to shake and spray – it’s all a matter of when and where. Always funny!
I was running along the cold shores of Lake Michigan the other day. This fellow was walking his two dogs aways above me on the dune, when his grey muzzled gigantic golden spotted me and came bounding my way. Happily, I’m a dog lover and saw this as a total sign of affection. Indeed the golden had been swimming and was soaked. There was a great deal of wagging and leaning on, he was so thrilled to have the attention of this new running friend. Finally, it was the puppy, the fellow’s other dog, that came to find his palymate. Both dogs ensued to wrestle on me under me through me. Until I made my way down the beach, dog-drenched and laughing at the joy of two wet dogs.
Thank you for visiting and following my blog. I am having a slight issue with your connection. A little yellow box pops up and says your href (?) or incorrect page ID’s are not getting through. Just thought you’d like to know.
Thanks for following my blog, harvestworkersdoor. Your blog is delightful. I have two rescue dogs and love them wholeheartedly. You can meet both Cindy Lou Who and Pepper in the sidebar of another blog of mine: http://bayoubloggercom-stargazer.blogspot.com
I love dogs Nice blog. After seeing/reading ” The most affectionate creature in the world is a wet dog.” It reminded me of my girlfriends picture she took of her big Red Golden Retriever sitting there on the beach, with Lake Mead behind him. He’s soaked, and the look on his face is great, would love to share this with you, would look nice here.
What? No advice about border collies?? lol…please, help! Thanks for following me. Recently, Max is a star in my home made movies, as I pick up bags and bags of litter! I appreciate your visit. I am little-known!
I was housecleaning today. Cleaned all the floors. Went to the bathroom and came back to muddy footprints all over my newly cleaned floors. My Rottie, Summer, standing there, nubs wagging, soaking wet with a look like “the pool is great mom! You should come out and try it!” I couldn’t be mad at that face!
Oh, too true, but the missing word is ‘muddy’!
I agree!
Nothing like a set of muddy pawprints on your T-shirt!!
Love it!
That’s so true!
all hands on deck! let’s karate!

Glad you enjoyed my poem A CHILD SMILES
I don’t “like” this blog, I “love” it. I am currently considering a dog for my wife> We are in our mid to late seventies, what breed do you suggest?
Would you like a small, medium or large dog? I like to go to http://www.petfinder.com to find a shelter dog.
I agree with the quote. But my favorite Bierce quote as a former bookseller is the absolute nastiest pithy book review:
“The covers of this book are too far apart.”
Thanks for the smile this Sunday afternoon!

I have no pets of my own, but these guys are just adorable!
How adorable! I love a cold wet nose!!!!
It’s like they’re saying, I’m cold, I’m wet, warm me up please!!!
Remember god spelled back words is G-O-D and that is it! A godly gift to mankind!
